When I filed for the School Board position in early December, I determined I would not spend a great deal of money on this endeavor. That is why you you have not seen yard signs or received mailings from me. I am frugal and I wanted to run my campaign by meeting with people, speaking at various groups when asked, and going door to door.
I knew I needed to use my assets and methods that fit me. The people that know me best are people of the faith community and my own church, friends on social media, people around my age and most recently my talented grandchildren (the video.) I only ask that the people who know me best and encouraging Grove citizens tell others. I had help from someone who took pictures, designed flyers, and several who have faithfully passed out flyers door to door.
I know the odds are against me but still something deep in my "gut" compels me to continue. There will be an interview from each candidate running in tomorrow's Grove Sun. The weather is likely not going to be favorable either. I trust God has it in His control and this has all been for a purpose. I am living with anticipation for the election tomorrow!
