I loved the colors and designs of CAPE COD from the first moment I saw it!

It is my pleasure to share with you the cards you can make with the 

CAPE COD Cardmaking Workshop Kit  G 1284

Here is what you get in the kit that makes 4 of each card.

This beach bag can be one of the projects you choose to do in my Grove classes.

It will hold five cards and envelopes for gift giving. 

 

Then there was the moment I realized I had a photo I would like to put 

on a page and these colors, stamps and Thin Cuts found in the Cardmaking Workshop Kit

would be so perfect for helping me in this project.

 

I am over-the-top happy with this result.

 

And now for the Stamp of the Month 

 

I adapted ideas from Makers Becca Witham, Tracey Ling and 

Cheryl Glass Arbo to create these cards.

Using ideas from Lucy Jones, CTMH Maker,

I created these projects with the Stamp of the Month

The item on the easel is a mini album that folds up and can be stored in a 4x6 Flip Flap adapted for this purpose.

I stamped the botanicals in black and added a bit of 

Gold Shimmer Brush for accent.

Hello Darlin' for June

 The Hello Darlin' papers for June can double as patriotic themed

for your Memorial Day or 4th of July pictures!

The vibrant colors of Candy Apple Red and Sapphire used with White Daisy make

the images pop off the card or layout!

G 1282 Hello Darlin' Cardmaking Workshop Kit would yield 4 of each of these cards

and has everything you need except inks to create them.  It is $31.95
 

These are the supplies you get in your workshop kit.  Notice you get

16 card bases and envelopes along with the Thin Cuts and stamps/

 

Here are my cards for June using Hello Darlin'

 

 

You can see the two 'corner" cards on the left are actually bookmarks

that can be lifted off for use by the recipient.  I used the D2049 In a Book

stamp set to add "Just One More Chapter"to the front of the bottom card.

While I did not use the star dies from the Cardmaking Kit, the ones included in that

kit would certainly work well.  I finished the designs with A1283 To Another Year

for the sentiment.

Hey Handsome kit for May

Hey Handsome is the featured kit for May

I absolutely love this kit G1279 for the masculine cards

you can make.  Think Father's Day and Birthday.

BUT it can also be used for feminine cards when using the 

Thin Cuts with other papers and stamps as shown 

in the cards designed by Becca Whitham.

More Daisy, Daisy

 The Daisy, Daisy papers and Thin Cuts are gone

but you can still get the wonderful stamp set.  

 

I will be showing you how to make beautiful cards using the stamp set with other papers.  Be aware you can get patterns for making several cards by printing the Daisy, Daisy Workshop instructions found on my website at https://pamsheartart.closetomyheart.com

 

Daisy  Daisy card instructions

This is my adaptation of a card by Terri Howard using the stamp set instead of

ThinCuts. 

How to make a 3-D Daisy from the big stamp in the stamp set. 

I used Mink ink on White Daisy to stamp here.  On the card above I used Linen on White Daisy cardstock.  1.  Cut out the stamped image.  2.  Cut further into the center around petal edges.  3.  Cut away the triangular piece between petals to round the petals.  4.  Slightly bend up some of the petals.

Using only one layer of the flower, you will keep it easier to mail.

Trim ¼” from the bottom of the card base.

Dimensions of papers for the card.

Yellow piece  3 3/4   x 4 ¾. 

4 paper pieces each 1 ½ x 2.

Banner  WD  1 ¼ x 3 5/8      Black  1 3/8 x 3 ¾

Daisy, Daisy for March

 How lovely are the daisies!

 While the beautiful green and pink papers of Daisy, Daisy are sold out already, the stamps and coordinating cardstock are still available to you.  See that listing on my website at

Please note the lovely stamp set has a large daisy flower that you can stamp, cut out and layer including a center that would be very versatile as well.

Some notes about these cards:  The yellow and black one in the middle was designed by Maker Terri Howard.  The card on the right used a special technique for making woodgrain paper that would helpful to learn.  I will gladly tell you how to do that.  So easy! 

There are instructions for several Daisy, Daisy projects right on the website above the pictures of the supplies left.  Several use the stamps.  You can use the stamps with other papers and end up with some delightful results.

Now and Forever for February

 For the month of February

I have chosen to use our Now and Forever Collection.

Yes it is good for Valentine's Day but

I would also suggest the stamps could be used to

make special wedding cards.

The challenge at this time is that beautiful papers are gone.

Here are some ideas for making your own background papers

using the cardstock pack, the Seabrook, Desert Rose, and Scarlet inks and the stamps.  One design also used the White Gel Pen

Fopur Seasons Winter for January

 I am celebrating January with cards

made from the Winter papers in the

 Four Seasons Collection

from our Core Products catalog.

I chose to add some snowflakes made with

Snowflakes Thin Cuts Z8056 and White Glitter Paper Z3237

for that added sparkle.  

The pattern for the cards came from Winter collection in the Four Seasons offerings featured this month.  You can print out the directions from my website!  Here is a video of the different seasons scrapbook pages and cards.  Note: the truck stamp set is no longer available, sadly.

Christmas Story Prepares for that Special Season

To get ready for Christmas card giving

I chose the Christmas Story papers

and the One Star, One Night, One Child stamp set

 

Here are the cards I came up with: 

 

 

The main technique I used was embossing the image.

The two outer cards are embossed in white, Z2068 while the center

card was embossed on Sage cardstock with Clear powder, Z2088,

and shaded in with Pine ink. 

Here is the pattern for the center card.  You may write your greeting on the back behind the tree.

Maple Leaf and Gratitude Dies featured in October.

 Beautiful Leaves for Fall and Thanksgiving

This month I have chosen to feature techniques with some of our dies.  You, too, can make these!

I used these dies:

Both packages are on 3x3 magnets

Gratitude Thin Cuts Z4085  $12.95

Maple Leaf Thin Cuts Z4083  $12.95

 

Here are the products I used to make the focal points

on the cards:

Technique to make a whole leaf and the cutout:  

Cut out leaves from Honey Butter cardstock.

Glue two negatives together.

For the whole leaf, trace onto Toffee cardstock using the inside

of the template you glued together as a guide.

Using the daubers, sponge color onto both the Honey Butter

and Toffee leaves.

Accent colored leaves with a Gold Shimmer brush Z3316 .

These would make great Fall or Thanksgiving cards.
