folders for your scrapbook --one for every year of school.  

Tuck those special papers inside and display pictures 

on the front and back as shown below.  I have added some

Cardmaking Kits Available until the end of August

When I first started stamping, I loved making art I could give away to bless someone else. Honestly, it was therapy for me. We have four card making kits available through the end of August that give you everything you need except the ink to make 12 cards. That is with your card bases and envelopes plus printed instructions in the kit too. At only $19.95 per kit, that is a wonderful creative bargain. Added value is that you can make the same card designs with different papers you may already have on hand. This would be a great project to share with a young person. Spread the thoughtfulness and joy! You can order these by going to my website through the shopping cart to the right.  

Be sure to save yourself some shipping cost by selecting the "Smart Post" option. The package comes to your post office and is delivered via the mail. It takes a little longer to arrive but is at least $3 less.

July Heart Art Projects Feature "Fresh Air"

I will have two different classes:

1)  The Workshop Your Way class will yield

July 12th   so materials can be ordered for you -or-

2)  5 card class for $10 if created locally -or-

$12 if mailed to you.

The moose card can also say "Grandpa", "Grandfather", "Dad"

I have all the pieces cut and ready for you to stamp at

a class in my home out in Quail Run.  I would also be happy

Spring Elegance 5 card class offered in April.  Make these five cards at a class in my home for $12 or have the pieces sent to you for $14.  I used a clear Shimmer Brush Z3293 for  $4.95 and  a

 Chalk Marker Z1767 for $2.95 to accent these cards.  You may choose from other sentiments. Making these cards extra special was the use of some glitter paper and silver foil.

Eclipse Cards Tutorial Using Block Alphabet Thin Cuts

 This month I have had such fun using our Block Alphabet Thin Cuts Z3386

to make cards.  Letters are 1 1/2 ".  Here I give the method and some tips for you to do the same.

Cut the pieces needed for your card.  They will go on a standard card base which measures 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.

To stamp a border to color as in the Birthday card, cut a piece of thin

paper so it is 1 1/2 inches wide.  Using washi tape, fasten it straight onto a

bigger piece of paper.  Slip the cut piece under the mask piece and fasten at

the corners with washi tape.

Now stamp using a border stamp of your choosing.

 Color in the stamped image.  Then attach the Thin Cuts

to the base and keep in place using washi tape.

Because there are two "P"s in HAPPY, select another

letter the same width and use it as a place holder.

To finish your card,  mount each letter slightly off center

of the negative space using foam tape. 

 

For the Bravo cards, secure the Thin Cuts to the top

paper piece with washi tape.  Then stack the two pieces

together and cut.

Just switch the letters on the print in the negative spaces

and you have two cards easily!  

I used the Stargazer papers here and if you go back

to the top you will see I added stars Thin Cuts from the

Stargazer Card Making Stamps and Thin Cuts set   Z4157
