November Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to the Blog Hop for the November Stamp Of the Month
"It's the Little Things"
Thank you for arriving safely from Lillian Yeh's Blog!
I created three cards using the Scaredy Cat papers
for awesome Fall colors.  The flowerpot card is a fun one.  Insert to the flowerpot
pulls out for a place to write your message.
Here are the directions:
Flowerpot base is 3 ½ x 9
Score at 2" and 5 1/2"
Fold the right side on the 5 1/2 inch score up to the 2 inch score.
To make the slanted cuts to create the pot bottom:
Place the outside of the folded edge at 3/8 on your trimmer
Place the “top” at the 2" score in the track of the trimmer.
Cut each side of the pot bottom in the same way.
Inserts are 2 1/2 x 4 1/2 (black) for the mat and 2 1/4 x 4 1/4  (Colonial White) for the sentiment .
Colors I used were Canary, Topiary, Sunset, Goldrush, and Black.

November Heart Art Classes and Schedule

I am super excited about the Heart Art classes I have prepared for you this month.
I used colors that are atypical for me and they reflect the glory of Autumn.

Canary, Sunset and Topiary.  Learn how to make the ombre box shown in the middle and the flowerpot card--so cute!  This stamp set has some great sentiments.  Make these three cards free of charge when you submit a minimum $15 product order.

Everything is cut and ready to go for you.  The total cost is $25.

October Stamp of the Month Bloghop

Use your ART PHILOSOPHY Cricut cartridge to cut the shapes to stamp on
with the Home For the Holiday Stamp of the Month set.
So glad you have arrived safely here from

I have two artwork examples to share with you.  The first is a layout using Yuletide Carol papers
with Stamp of the Month images as embellishments.
See the candy canes and wrapped candies in a holly swag across the top?
"While visions of sugarplums danced in their heads."
Embossing with gold makes the "dreaming, believing, wishing" ornament shine!
(Holly leaves are also from Art Philosophy!)
Now for the "negative space" ornament card.  I got the idea from some artwork on the wall in Arby's!
When I pulled out my pen and paper to doodle the idea, my husband wondered what in the world I was doing.  I told him I get ideas everywhere and I didn't want to forget!
The green glitter paper Z1847 is on 3-D foam to add depth to the design here.
The clear Sparkles were colored with the new Shin Han marker, Z2463 Sap Green.
What a neat trick to add a little more pizazz!
Thank you for stopping by!

30 Years of Happy Blog Hop

Welcome!  If you have hopped over from Tina Lovell's Scrap Happy Life
you are on the right path.
This stamp set is very useful with scraps for creating cards.  Here I cut five coordinating pieces from the Wanderful paper packet  to a   1 x 3 1/2 size.  To make the dovetail end center the piece longwise in your cutter at 1/2 inch.  Then make a cut 1/2" from the bottom and trim from the bottom corner to the center cut.
I had noticed some of the shapes would work well with our Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.  I made this chart with ideas for a starting point should you decide to cut shapes for stamping with your 30 Days of Happy stamp set.
I label the rows down on the overlay  A, B, C, D, and E and then the buttons across from 1-10.
I hope this is helpful to you!
Now hop on over to The Blog of  Happy Stamper Dawn Ross to discover
more creative ideas for this stamp set!

September 2014 SOTM Blog Hop

So glad you hopped over from  Brenda Lapp's Blog.
My offerings for the Forever Family Stamp of the Month stamp feature the versatility of our
My Acrylix stamps because I cut them apart for a couple of my designs!
I cut the "sweet" apart from the "moments" for the sentiment on the card upper left.   The two images will go together perfectly on the block again should I decide to use the whole sentiment.

For the card in the upper right I cut the leafy parts of the tree stamp off so I could use them as background for the flower stamps in this set with Pear ink.  Now I have even more useful stamps from this set!   The little "Thinking of You"  and the little butterfly stamps are from our
featured-in-September "30 Years of Happy" stamp set.
I selected papers from our Wanderful paper packet X7191B for all cards.  Our new color Flaxen is used for the front card and I thought this would make a perfect, simple card for a
50th wedding anniversary.
One more tip:  Use the heart trio stamp as your card signature on the back to say,
"I made this--for you!"

Please contact me if you would like an interpretation for how to select the correct button to cut shapes for your own 30 Years of Happy stamp set.

A Whole New Beginning--our Annual Inspirations Idea Book

Close To My Heart is beginning a whole new era of offering high quality products
for your crafting pleasure with the release today of the first Annual Inspirations Idea Book.
This 192 page book will be in effect from August 1st 2014 to July 31st 2015!
It features nine brand new coordinated paper packets with complements and accessories to match
and several new tools and embellishments you will enjoy.  You can see the new book
virtually by going to my website  and selecting "Products" from the ribbon at the top.

Here are the projects I have designed to begin our Annual Inspirations journey.
This is my Scrapbook Plus class featuring Two-2-page layouts and six cards.  The cost is $25 for the materials and everything cut and ready to put together.  If you order the Pathfinding Paper Packet, (X7186A), Pathfinding Complements ( X7186C),  and Pathfinding Assortment (Z3012)  through my shopping cart I will email the cutting guide to you for these projects so you can make them yourself.
You may select these Stamp of the Month cards as your project.  Along with the stamp set, What a Hoot, page 12 of Annual Inspirations, you will use several new products.  Note the woodgrain effect on all cards made by our new woodgrain embossing folder Z1996.  I LOVE that!  Coloring on the middle card was made with our new Shin Han alcohol markers--so nice!  There is a minimum $15 product order to get the materials FREE to make these cute cards.
For the Cardmaker Supreme class we will use the Pathfinding Card Workshop On the Go G1083.
This kit contains the stamp set, Pathfinding paper, Cardstock sheets, 15- Colonial White card bases and envelopes, Sequins Gold Assortment (Z2012), Bronze Shimmer Trim (Z1849), and an instructional brochure.  I have discovered there is enough paper and embellishments with the kit to create another set of cards!  That means with the addition of 15 more card bases and envelopes you will end up with 30 cards!  Plus my service bonus is that I will cut the pieces for your kit this month free of charge.  Please let me know if you want this project so I can prepare it for you in plenty of time.  I am seriously considering making Thanksgiving cards with this kit.
To make the pricing clear--you will purchase the Pathfinding Card Workshop on the Go kit, ($24.95) and if you need 15 more cards and bases, it will be $5 more for a total of  $29.95.

July 2014 Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

So glad you hopped over from Jean Johnson's Scrap With Jean!
This month I am showing how to stamp one letter per circle
and use it on the projects.
The featured paper packet is Lollydoodle X7183B .
The fun shapes and
"look whoos here" are from our Cricut Artbooking cartridge.
Make the elegant background using Pear ink on one side of the Quatrefoil embossing folder Z1926.
Set your Cricut size on 8 1/2 for the owl, branches and leaves.  Your shapes will be perfectly proportioned with each other in Artbooking.
This baby card for a boy could also be made for a girl
by using Cotton Candy ink and changing the saying to
"girly girl".  The sentiment was cut at 1 1/4" using the
Real Dial Size button.

Time to hop on over to Kathy Burrows' blog
for more great ideas.

June Stamp of the Month Bloghop

Thank you for arriving safely from Keeley's Kreations.
The special technique for the June Stamp of the Month I am using is random stamping.
Pretty simple:  Take a big stamp from the set and stamp it in triangles.  Then fill in with other stamps.  Here I random stamped with Pacifica, Cranberry and Honey inks,
cut the random stamped paper into pieces for the June Stamp of the Month cards

and added the sparkles and extra word stamps (included in the stamp set)
to the projects in the appropriate places.
 Great Fun!
Now you are ready to hop to the beginning of the bloghop circle by visiting
Adeline Brill's Creative Space .  Happy hopping!

The Joy of Being a Consultant

Sixteen  years ago after a very stressful 3 1/2 months where I had two children get married and both of my parents died, I discovered CTMH (DOTS then).   I realized that creating beautiful
things with paper did something wonderful for my drooping spirit.  It was a way for me to "do art" easily with  stamps.  Beyond that, when I gave away a hand-stamped card it made me feel better as I brightened someone's day.
Fifteen years ago this June I became a consultant and started on an adventure that continues to bless my life.  I have great friends who enjoy being creative in this way.  And I had a life-long dream fulfilled when I stood in the Sistine Chapel to see Michaelangelo's wondrous work as part of the Western Mediterranean Cruise with Close To My Heart.
This month you can start on your own great adventure as a consultant.  We are offering a FREE Cricut Collection  $99 value)with the purchase of your consultant kit.  The kit ($99 plus shipping and tax) has over $300 of products and business helps to help you start with success.  Plus when you have $1200 in sales your first 90 days, you will earn the $99 price of kit to be returned to you in cash!
As your upline I can provide ideas and encouragement to support you.  My goal is that my team members know success at the level they wish.  Please email me at pajarrett@comcast.net if you have more questions.  I would love to hear from you!
(To see the Cricut Collections go to my website at pamsheartart.ctmh.com and look under Products on the ribbon at the top.  Cricut Collections is the last thing listed in the drop down menu.  Open that and you will find the information there.  Each cartridge has 700 images and the collection includes three coordinating stamp sets and three dimensional elements sheets also coordinated with the cartridge images.)

April Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome from Jean McNulty's Stampin Maui Blog
I hope you have enjoyed your blog hopping adventure.
To add a masculine feel to the Balloon Talk stamps, I chose the Timberline Paper Packet.
I love the rich Ponderosa Pine, Lagoon and Goldrush colors displayed with this paper and the woodgrain paper makes such excellent little envelopes cut with the Cricut cartridge.

If you started at the beginning of the hop with Adeline's Creative Space , you have made the complete circle.  So click on her link and you can hop it all again.
Thank you for stopping by!
