April Heart Art Classes and Schedule

April's Joy of Creativity is found in the projects prepared for you
Just think of the meaning behind the use of the paper and you
will see creations meant to honor loved ones, make them feel special,
and recall significant moments.  Contact me at (970) 285-9230 or pajarrett@comcast.net
to let me know the project you choose and when you would like to do it.
First up are the Stamp of the Month cards.
You will see I chose special days to put on the typewriter paper and decorated around
the typewriter with special Cricut cuts  from Art Philosophy and Artiste.  These little sayings fit perfectly in the March Stamp of the Month frames of Choose Happy too.  (Thank you Verna for that suggestion.)  Make all three cards for a $15 order before shipping and tax either in a Heart Art class or be a hostess for a gathering where you and friends can make them.

April's Scrapbook Plus class features the Seaside papers.
Make 2 layouts and six cards for only $25!
Everything is cut and packaged ready for you to put together.
Be a hostess for this project.  When you have five other people making it, you get your project FREE!

Taking the place of a Cardmaker Supreme class in April will be
2 Fold-Out Mini-Albums plus cards to celebrate Mother's Day
and Graduation.  Make both albums and cards for $15.
You can be a hostess for this class and earn your project free when you have
seven guests or people who will pay the $15 for their kits.

An Opportunity Like No Other

At Close To My Heart we talk about our "why" for becoming a consultant.
Here's mine:  In 1997 during a 3 1/2 month period, I had two children get
married over 1100 miles away and both of my parents died.  If you check
the "high stress events" you will find those things included.  That period of
time left me feeling emotionally bankrupt I guess you could say.
The Spring after this happened, I was invited to a stamping party.
I had always loved art and the way I could create beautiful artwork with stamps
intrigued me.  After another year of working through things, I signed up to be
a consultant.  That was 15 1/2 years ago.  I still love the creative process and
making pretty things to give away or scrapbook pages to hold special memories.
With Close To My Heart, Ron and I have traveled places we never would have.
Some were conventions:  Long Beach, CA, Portland, OR, Washington DC, Orlando, Florida.
The most exciting trip was a Mediterranean cruise where we visited, Barcelona, Spain,
Pompeii,  Rome, Pisa and Monte Carlo.  My lifelong dream of seeing the
Sistine Chapel and Michaelangelo's  magnificent art was realized on this trip.

I receive so much joy from sharing projects to make with people and have made
many friends along the way.  Now that I am retired, CTMH provides something I can
offer and it keeps my brain humming.  Ha!

So here's the deal:  In March you can sign up to be a consultant and receive the shoulder tote
pictured here FREE.  (It is a $26.95 value.  I have one and love mine!  Note the bling!)
These are WHILE SUPPLIES LAST, just so you know.
But that's not all!  If you have $300 in sales your first 40 days, you will get the rolling tote
(little circle picture)  FREE too!  It's a honey!
You may pick between a cardmaker starter kit

or a scrapbooking starter kit for only $99.

Each kit has over $300 of product and supplies in it--a value for sure.
If you join my team, the Heart Artists, I can support you with cutting guides and
instructions for the projects I do.  No need to live in my area.  In fact, I didn't meet
my upline until I had been a consultant for a year and it worked just fine.
If you have questions, please email me at pajarrett@comcast.net.  I would be
happy to respond as my upline did for me.  It is a decision I have never regretted.

From your Heart Artist,
Pam Jarrett

March Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

So "hoppy" you have arrived here from
Lauren Moore's CTMH Craftings Blog

Our heat embossing was calling my name with this stamp set.  Then I wanted to add color with the Shin Han markers.
The "Choose Happy" frames are the perfect setting for our singly purchased
Monogram stamps.  Each monogram is $2.95.  Then using a sponge, you can work the ink
color of your choice (Indian Corn Blue here) in the crevices of the embossed image..
To finish the monogram, I cut it out with our 1 1/4" punch.  It is much easier to
center the monogram that way.

I thought the frames would be perfect for embellishing some fold-out mini albums to identify the family connection.  Again they were colored in with our Shin Han Markers
after being embossed with Gold embossing powder.

Now hop on over to Paper Crafting Princess
by consultant Tracey Pierce.  I am sure you will enjoy your journey!
Until next time,
Pam

March Heart Art Projects and Schedule

What has kept me excitedly creating projects for you for 15 1/2 years?
The possibilites for beautiful artwork are amazingly endless--that's what!
For March, the Scrapbook Plus and the Stamp of the Month cards were
made with the Hopscotch papers.  Here's a look:
The Stamp of the Month cards use Gold Embossing colored in with the Shin Han markers.
Then I loved the way the stamp frames were perfect for our Monogram stamps also embossed in Gold then the crevices sponged with color.  You will love learning this technique.  The cost for this class is you get to make the three cards FREE when you have a minimum $15 order before shipping and tax.  This is the perfect way to practic the technique and be able to build your supplies.  Please let me know if you wish to make the Stamp of the Month cards as your project.
The idea for the Scrapbook Plus class (pictured above) is for you to make 2 layouts and six cards so you use almost all of the papers in a paper packet.  Just look how much you go home having completed.  This project is $25 and everything will be cut and packaged, ready for you to put together.  Let me know soon if you wish to make the Scrapbook Plus in March.

This is the Cardmaker Supreme Class for March.  Make 10 cards with the Monogram of your choice.  Learn the graduated color technique as well as
heat embossing with Gold powder.  Cost is $15 and envelopes are included.
Let me know if the Cardmaker Supreme is the choice for your March project.

February Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

And "A Happy Hello" to you!  Thank you for hopping from
Jenny Gilbert's Blog
Here are the cards I created with our Stamp of the Month for February.
A couple technique comments: Most of the circular stamps from the set 3 were stamped on Cricut circles and sponged around the edges.  The Sparkles were all clear but colored with our Shin Han alcohol markers--a great creative trick when you want to add the right color bling!
I love the bright colors of the Brushed paper packet.  They add a touch of Spring to our Winter, don't you think?
Now continue your hopping adventure to
Judy Faye Garner's Place
and see what she has in store for you.
Until next time,
Pam

Heart Art Projects and Schedule for January 2015

Here's to starting the year with the intention of creating splendiferous projects
that will enhance your joy of life and strengthen your relationships.
I have created several things for you to help you on your way.
First is my Scrapbook Plus class.  Make the two 2-page layouts and six cards for $25.
The pieces are cut and packaged for you so all you need is your adhesive.  This would make a wonderful project for two people to work on together.  What about an adult and child?  Please let me know if you would like to have that happen.  I can work with you!
The Stamp of the Month cards will allow you to make some valentines and a general notecard  for use to brighten someone's day.  That standing box card folds up and will go into an envelope that I will have for you.  The cost of this class is a minimum $15 order.

The Cardmaker Supreme  will give you a stash of Valentines all ready for February 14th.
Make the ten cards for $15!  They each come with an envelope.  The picture below shows the inside of the middle card on the top row as well as the front of the card to its the left.  Ask if you would like to see them in person.

PLEASE LOOK OVER MY SCHEDULE AND LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU CAN COME TO HEART ART CLASS.  THESE PROJECTS COULD ALSO BE DONE AT A PARTY WHERE YOU ARE HOSTESS.  EXTRA REWARDS IN JANUARY!

Studio J for the Life of Me

Last week I was honored to receive one of our new D-ring albums as a prize for being one of the five consultants with the most customer participation in creating Studio J layouts in November.
I fell in love with incredibly easy way to preserve memories a few years ago.  Since then, I have been steadily making pages that will leave a record of my life for those that come after me.
Hopefully what you see here can inspire you to start your own life history record.  It will be
PRICELESS!!!
This is a layout of a scanned discharge from the Civil war from my Great, Great Grandfather.
I created the background in the No Limits design.  This is two 12 x 12 photo wells so the layout is built from the bottom up as if you would layer paper.  So easy!
For this layout of my grandparents, I selected the page design, eliminated all the photo wells on the right side, and created new photo wells for the scanned obituaries.  It is a tremendous advantage to manipulate the photo wells now.  My grandmother's obituary is especially poignant
and talks about her faith and example.  I never knew her since she died before I was born.
Again I selected a layout design and put in my own photo wells to hold the scans of letters my Dad wrote my Mother 60 years ago.  I even scanned the envelope with a 3 cent stamp and it is it's original size.   Those details make your layout interesting.
For this one, I had mounted the newspaper clippings on black cardstock and took them to a printing store to have a scan made of the 12 x 12 page.  They put the scan on my flashdrive.
I then opened Studio J and put each page in the No Limits layout design.  I pulled in the paper and embellishments from the selected La Belle Vie kit to finish the pages.  Newspaper clippings are from 1966 and had been improperly mounted in an old book.  Now they are preserved well.
I had barely started these pages on real paper.  I had what was done scanned (the 12 x 12 page), put each page in No Limits and then embellished with Studio J Notebook nameplates and such.  In this instance I had hard copies of the photos already mounted on the paper.  However, I could match Studio J with the existing paper because Notebook was in Studio J.  I cannot remember exactly, but there are over 120 paper kits to choose from.  Your favorite is sure to be there!
When I was in high school, my sister and I were part of a singing group at church.  We went all over central Illinois giving concerts.  We cut a long play album which was unusual for the time.
I had the cover of the album scanned and put the pictures in No Limits again.  I was able to add some thoughts in a journaling box on the right side.
Well, I will stop for now.  I have a guide to help you get started in Studio J if you would like.
Just email me at pajarrett@comcast.net and I will email it to you.  I guarantee if you get started, you will be excited about what you accomplish and it will be a treasure for years to come.
Keep Studio J-ing!
Pam

Seasonal Expressions Blog Hop

 Seasonal Expressions 1 Blog Hop
the excellent blog of Paige Dolecki
My highlighted delights from the Seasonal Expressions are the
C1607 Someone Special stamp set (page 24)
X7193B Heartstrings paper Packet (page 9)
Z3018 Heart Embossing Folder (page 36)

The stamp set features some base and shade stamps.  I used Glacier ink for the bottom layer stamping and Crystal Blue ink over the top for my flowers.  To create the marbled look background on the Cricut shape from Art Philosophy, I started with Flaxen ink and the stamp in the middle on the right-hand side.  I stamped the first image on a piece of scrap paper lightening the ink.  Then I stamped and twisted the stamp to stamp again until the ink was gone from the stamp.  This process was repeated using both Glacier and Crystal Blue ink until my background was sufficiently covered.

One wonderful thing about our My Acrylix stamps is that you can cut them apart to position them however you wish.  That is what I did with the "For someone special" stamp here.  I stamped the sentiment in Crystal Blue Pigment ink then heat embossed using our Clear embossing powder.  Embossing intensifies the color and I would recommend this technique with our pigment inks to give you just the right look every time!

Thank you for stopping by!  Now continue on your journey to

December 2014 Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

I am so happy you have hopped over from  Katie Hessel's Blog
I hope you will enjoy my ideas for these yummy, yet calorie free cupcakes.  (The best kind don't you know?)

One of the techniques used on these cards was to cut apart
the strips on one of the Snowhaven B&T papers and use them
as a variety of banners.  On this Artfully Sent card base from our newest Cricut Collection, the strips are attached on the left side but left free to open as a design element on the card when it is opened.
Make a waterfall card and use each cupcake stamp in the set!
So fun!  The B&T strip was employed as the horizontal piece here.
The standard card has B&T strip banners as accents on the bottom.
All cupakes were colored using our new Shin Han markers found on page 180 of our Annual Expressions.  Be sure to stamp the images with Archival Black Ink (44751) for the best results.

Please continue your hopping journey at Jacquelin Green's Blog
for some more Paper Goodness.

a special presentation suitable for opening on Christmas.

CUPCAKES!!  The kind that won't add any calories to holiday celebration can be yours to make if you choose the Stamp of the Month cards for your project.  You get to make the three cards FREE when you have a minimum $15 order before shipping and tax.  You may make these at any Heart Art class time.  Please let me know ahead of time so I can have your project prepared.

The cardmaker Supreme Class is 10 of these cards for $15.  I have a great variety of stamps to use with the White Daisy ink on the black piece so you can make them for Christmas or any other occasion.  So much fun with the Shin Han markers!  You must let me know by December 3rd if this is your project choice.
